Apparently, Walker Hines, who was elected to the Orleans Parish Democratic Executive Commitee in my district along with Karen and me, has endorsed Steve Scalise for congress. Scalise is a Republican. Walker must have gotten mixed up when he went down to file his election papers.

The Democratic party has a candidate running for the 1st congressional district, Gilda Reed. Reed is a 60-year old college professor and mother of seven from Metairie. She is endorsed by both the teacher’s union and the NRA. She is in favor of universal medical care and she wants the troops out of Iraq. What more do you want?
